Rejected Knowledge... So you mean that esotericists are the losers of history?

If Western esotericism is referred to as "rejected knowledge," does this mean we are complaining about the field being marginal and ignored? To answer that question, I argue we need to look at the status of esotericism in the context of academic identity politics.
